Dakpan ang upat ka iligal nga minero sa gihimong operasyon sa mga awtoridad sa Purok 2, Barangay Bilay, Butuan City adtong Huwebes, Disyembre 4, 2025.
Gi-ila ang mga suspek nga sina alyas “Rom ug John”, mga residente sa Barangay Bilay, ug alyas “El ug Jer”, gikan sa Barangay Aupagan sa maong siyudad.
Nahibal-an nga nag-atubang sa kasong Republic Act 7942 o ang Philippine Mining Act of 1995, Butuan City Ordinance No. 7244-2025, ug Administrative Order No. 2010-21 sa Department of Environment and Natural Resources ang maong mga suspek.
“The BCPO will not allow illegal mining activities that destroy the environment. We will go after those involved in such illegal activities,” mensahe ni Police Colonel Rommel Villamor, City Director sa Butuan City Police Office.
