Nasabat ang tinatayang P7,040,000.00 halaga ng puslit na yosi sa ikinasang operasyon ng mga awtoridad sa P-12, Brgy. Poblacion, Laguindingan, Misamis Oriental bandang 10:45 ng gabi nito lamang Agosto 11, 2025.
Nadakip ang mga suspek na sina alyas “Tata”, 40, driver, may-asawa, at “Aboy”, 25, helper, single, pawang mga residente ng nasabing lugar.
Narekober ng mga awtoridad ang 101 boxes ng “NELSON” brand, 34 boxes ng “FORT” brand, 29 boxes ng “ASTRO” brand, at 12 boxes ng “COMMANDO” na may kabuuang halaga na aabot P7,040,000.00.
Mas pinaigting ng Misamis Oriental PNP ang kampanya laban sa smuggling at economic sabotage, alinsunod sa Republic Act 10863 o ang Customs Modernization and Tariff Act.
