In a week’s time, the city government will launch another unique and spectacular Christmas display which forms part of the city’s annual tradition to spread holiday cheer.
City Government workers from the General Services Office (GSO) on Tuesday, November 25, apply final touches to the Christmas installations and light displays in time for the launching of the Festival de Navidad 2025.
Expected to be one, if not the best holiday display in this part of the country, Zamboanga’s Christmas display this year is themed
“Christmas on the Move: Land, Air, and Sea of Joy!”

Arch, Rizamay Basing, Assistant GSO chief said the theme celebrates how the holiday spirit travels everywhere — by land, air, and sea — bringing joy and connection across all places. It highlights how families reunite, gifts are delivered, and love is shared no matter the distance or way of travel, she added.
The Christmas installations and light displays are found at the 118-year old City Hall, Plaza Pershing, Plaza Rizal, Paseo del Mar, Plaza Pilar, Pasonanca Park and in center islands at Mayor Agan Avenue, R.T. Lim Boulevard, and Gov. Camins.
